Cejudo is coming off a decision win over Anthony Pettis, and is currently ranked #2 in the UFC’s 125 division. Elliott, meanwhile, submitted bantamweight Mark De La Rosa in his last outing, and is ranked #12 at 125. Elliott’s win over De La Rosa in December took place not long after the passing of his head coach, Robert Follis. Elliott won the 24th of TUF and advanced to a title fight with Demetrious Johnson. The latter won the bout via unanimous decision.
