Ronda Rousey continues to dominate the UFC bantamweight division, but newly signed Holly Holm hasn’t lost faith in her abilities to unseat the ruling champ.

The decorated boxer and undefeated MMA fighter recently signed with the UFC, and due to Holm’s impressive resume, talk about how she would do against Rousey is nothing new. In a recent interview with UFC.com, here is some of what Holm had to say about the mindset one needs, to face the renowned champ.

“I’m not sure how a lot of these other girls are, but sometimes I feel like people can walk in, they look across the cage at her and think, ‘Man, can I really beat her? I mean, I’ll give it a shot, but can I really do it?’ I’m a firm believer that you have to believe in yourself. If you walk in with that doubt in your mind, you’re not going to win. I think sometimes a lot of these girls are so intimidated by Ronda and all the hype around the fight that they don’t even get to show their full potential and what they could have done in those fights.”

Holm also praised Rousey for her development as a fighter, and noted that you can’t “not be impressed” by the champ’s 16 second win over Alexis Davis at UFC 175.

The 7-0 fighter also conceded that she hopes to fight one time before possibly facing Rousey, since she is coming off an injury. Holm’s Octagon debut has yet to be announced.
