After a November 8th fight between John Lineker and Ian McCall fell through, due to the latter being ill, the UFC has announced that the flyweight contenders will battle on January 31st.

The bout will be part of UFC 183, which will take place in Las Vegas, and will feature Nick Diaz taking on former middleweight champ, Anderson Silva.

McCall (13-4-1) had made weight for his UFC FN 56 scrap with Lineker, but withdraw from the card not long after, due to a viral infection. The #3 ranked flyweight is coming off wins over Ilarde Santos and Brad Pickett, after he was decisioned by Joseph Benavidez last February. McCall has gone 2-2-1 in his last 5 contests.

Lineker (24-7) stopped Alptekin Ozkilic in his last outing, after he lost via unanimous decision to Ali Bagautinov in February. The #7 ranked flyweight is 4-1 in his last 5 fights.
