Noted striker Igor Pokrajac saw his winning streak come to an end Saturday night at UFC 152, thanks to a beautifully executed armbar by renowned jiu-jitsu competitor Vinny Magalhaes. While the fight ending technique likely impressed many people throughout the MMA world, Pokrajac evidently wasn’t one of them.

Speaking via his official Twitter account, the 33 year-old-light-heavyweight had the following to say about the loss.

If I wanted to do a grappling match I would go on a grappling tournament , this is MMA and UFC fans want a fight.

The Croatian fighter’s comments may be puzzling to some, given that Magalhaes rolled into the armbar after Pokrajac had taken him to the mat.

The loss was Pokrajac’s (25-9) first since his unanimous decision loss to Stephan Bonnar in December, 2010. Since then the veteran has impressed by scoring wins over Todd Brown, Krzysztof Soszynski and Fabio Maldonado.

The victory marked a successful Octagon return for Magalhaes (10-5), who was competing under the UFC banner for the first time since April, 2009. After exiting from the promotion the former M-1 Global went 7-1.
