By FCF Staff
Following Ilia Topuria’s electrifying knockout of Alexander Volkanovski last weekend, the new featherweight champ has jumped high into the UFC’s pound-for-pound rankings.
Topuria finished Volkanovski with a booming right in the second round of their fight, which took place at UFC 298. Since then, the promotion’s new rankings have been released, and Topuria has moved into #5 of the P4P ranks.
The 27-year-old, rising star was not ranked in the top 15 of the P4P before UFC 298. The 35-year-old Volkanovski, meanwhile, dropped four spots and is now ranked #7.
Light-heavyweight champ Alex Pereira and welterweight champ Leon Edwards both moved up one spot in the P4P bracket, and are now ranked #4 and #3, respectively.
The UFC’s rankings are determined by a panel of media members.
