IMMAF Disciplinary Committee is Blend of a Law Enforcements And Sport Specialists

The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) Disciplinary Committee is finalising a number of important policy documents under the leadership of its new Chairman Will Lexton-Jones.

The IMMAF Disciplinary Committee is responsible for the management and resolution of any asserted violations of the IMMAF Code of Ethics and other IMMAF Rules and Procedures. The Committee will also be responsible for setting up an advisory group/tribunal pool to help with individual cases.

The Disciplinary Committee is made up of a diverse team with law enforcement, sport and business expertise, led by Will Lexton-Jones. Will is a Detective Chief Inspector with the Metropolitan Police based in London. He also competed in martial arts and wrestling and remains active in sport.

I am privileged to work with a diverse, highly experienced cross-profession team to support IMMAF become a world leader in sporting governance. This year, my colleagues and I have set an ambitious objective to develop disciplinary policy and case management process that cater to the unique challenges of Mixed Martial Arts, to ensure fairness, proportionality, inclusivity and safety for all our members.”

Chris Dunn is a Barrister. Chris has a long-standing relationship with the martial arts and sporting world. He is a criminal barrister but has experience in sporting tribunals and has represented club players at RFU disciplinary tribunals.

Stanislav Nedkov is a former UFC Fighter and is now President of the Bulgarian Mixed Martial Arts Federation. He is also Chair of IMMAF’s Youth Development Commission.

Tara Johnson is a UK Police Sergeant. Tara is one of the lead planners for the largest, most complex public order and security planning events in UK police history. Tara also has a credible martial arts background, having competed in different disciplines, including BJJ and wrestling.

Andy Herbert is a Martial arts and IT professional. Andy has a deep knowledge and understanding of the martial arts world, including MMA. He is a professional Ju-jitsu instructor and senior black belt at Ju-jitsu, and has built a thriving IT business from scratch.
