IMMAF Registers in Switzerland, ‘The Epicentre of the Olympic Movement’

By Press Release

The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) has completed the registration process to become a non-profit organisation in Switzerland.

IMMAF President Kerrith Brown commented: “The move means that IMMAF’s official office is registered in a location closer to the majority of International Federations, with Switzerland known as the epicentre of the Olympic Movement.”

IMMAF is the only legitimate international governing body for the sport of MMA (mixed martial arts) focused on furthering its development, recognition and regulation and enabling amateur competition though the organisation of national MMA federations around the world. With a seven-year track record of organising international amateur Championships and developing the sport globally, IMMAF’s membership today includes over 100 National Federations worldwide with National Olympic Committee recognition in around 40 countries.

The IMMAF was founded in Sweden in 2012, where it has been based until now.

Brown said: “The move reflects IMMAF’s ambitions for MMA to be recognised as a sport by the Olympic Movement.”
