Isaac Vallie-Flagg’s second Octagon appearance has been delayed, as the Strikeforce vet has been forced with withdraw from his UFC 161 tilt with Sam Stout due to injury.

The 35 year-old fighter reported via Twitter that:

I have a compressed disk in my back and a muscle has torn off my hip waiting to hear how bad both the injuries are and if i need surgery

Vallie-Flagg (14-3-1), who also confirmed the news to Full Contact Fighter, is coming off a split decision win over Yves Edwards in February, which marked his UFC debut. The Jackson’s MMA lightweight has gone undefeated in 12 straight fights.

Stepping in for Vallie-Flagg will be Bellator and WEC vet James Krause (19-4), who is coming off a unanimous decision win over Toby Imada, while competing for the Resurrection Fighting Alliance in January. The promotion announced the switch via Twitter.

Stout (19-8-1) will be looking to build on the split decision win he recorded over Caros Fodor at UFC 157 in February. The UFC veteran is 3-2 in his last five fights.

UFC 161 will be hosted by the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and will feature Rashad Evans taking on Dan Henderson in the main event.
