Following weeks of speculation and discussion about Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya fighting, the latter has announced the two will battle at UFC 305.

After Du Plessis defeated Sean Strickland for the middleweight title in January, he called for a fight with the former champ, Adesanya. “The Last Stylebender”, who lost the belt to Strickland last September, also reported he was interested in the fight.

More recently, Adesanya (24-3) posted the image and comments below on social media, which notes he is fighting Du Plessis (21-2) on August 17th.
