Recently Dana White confirmed that the UFC is planning to have Israel Adesanya fight Jan Blachowicz next, and the middleweight champ is a clear, early favorite on the betting lines.

Adesanya had been targeting a bout with Jared Cannonier, if the latter beat Robert Whittaker at UFC 254. Whittaker won the fight, however, and now Adesanya is expected to challenge the new light heavyweight champ Blachowicz next.

According to the early betting line via BetOnline.ag, Adesanya is carrying odds of -255 for the fight. Blachowicz, meanwhile, is a +215 underdog.

Adesanya (20-0) has gone 9-0 to date in the UFC and his win over Costa, was his second title defense as champion.

Blachowicz (27-8) secured the vacant light heavyweight title in September by stopping Dominick Reyes. The champ has won four straight.

No date for the planned Adesanya – Blachowicz fight has been announced.
