Another of Montreal’s more established fighters will be competing at the UFC’s upcoming November 17th card in the Quebec city, as resident Ivan Menjivar will take on Octagon newcomer Azamat Gashimov. The UFC made the announcement via its Canadian Twitter account.

Menjivar (24-9) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to bantamweight Mike Easton at UFC 148 in July. Prior to the defeat, the Tristar fighter scored a first round, submission win over John Albert in February.

Gashimov (7-1) makes his way to the UFC having won back-to-back fights. The Russian born, New Jersey fighter has won six bouts by submission or stoppage.

Friday the promotion also announced that UFC 154 will feature an all Canadian affair between lightweights John Makdessi (9-2) and Sam Stout (19-7-1).

UFC 154 will be hosted by Montreal’s Bell Centre and will feature UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre versus interim champ Carlos Condit.
