Recently Georges St-Pierre said he’s interested in fighting newly crowned, middleweight champ Michael Bisping, and those comments have clearly fired up Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza.

Following Bisping’s KO win over Luke Rockhold at UFC 199, St-Pierre has confirmed that he wants to return to fighting, and that a bout with Bisping interests him. Souza recently spoke to MMA Fighting.com, and when asked about GSP’s comments, the middleweight contender stated:

“St-Pierre never fought at middleweight. I don’t know what he’s doing here,” said Souza. “To me, he’s a chicken. If I get him, I’ll break him in half. He’s retired and wants to fight for the title in a division he never fought before? He always ran away from Anderson (Silva), ran from fighting at 185, and now he wants the belt?”

When Silva was the reigning, middleweight champ, St-Pierre said he would need to put muscle on, if he was to fight the star. GSP recently stated that he could make 155, without issue, if he wanted to.

Souza is coming off a first round, stoppage win over Vitor Belfort, and is ranked #3 at 185.
