Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza suffered another setback at UFC 256, via a vicious, KO loss. But the 41-year-old, longtime contender is vowing he’ll be back.
Souza faced Kevin Holland at the event, and was knocked out by upward punches from the rising middleweight. The loss was Souza’s third straight.
Since then, however, Souza has shared out the statement below (transcription via BJ Penn.com).
“Ronaldo Jacare here,” he began. “I’d like to say thanks to everyone who was rooting for me.
“I did a very hard training camp,” Jacare continued. “I’m very upset because I lost the fight. Right now I’m going to Brazil. I will spend time with my family right now. Thank you everyone that rooted for me. I will be back stronger.”
The Brazilian fighter’s record now stands at 26-9.
