The accomplished ‘Jacare’ Souza has his next opponent, and it’s surging middleweight Andre Muniz.

The 41-year-old Souza (26-9-1) has slipped out of the UFC’s rankings on account of a brief stint at light heavyweight and three straight losses. In his last outing, in December, the renowned grappler was KO’d by Kevin Holland.

According to a report from Combate, Souza will face Muniz on May 15th at UFC 262.

The 31-year-old Muniz (20-4) has won six in a row and is coming off a quick, submission win over Bartosz Fabinski in September.

UFC 262 is to feature a lightweight fight between Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler for the vacant belt. The event is expected to take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
