After being defeated by Jack Hermansson last month, “Jacare” Souza is calling for a rematch with fellow middleweight contender, Kelvin Gastelum.

The fighters battled back in May, 2018, and Gastelum emerged from the very competitive fight with a split decision victory. Recently Souza let it be known via Instagram that he’s hoping to secure a rematch (translation via Bloody Elbow):

“I would love to have a rematch against Kelvin Gastelum. I already asked for this fight to matchmaker Mick Maynard. I hope that the UFC and Gastelum accept my wish.”

Souza (26-7) lost to Hermansson at UFC FN 150 via unanimous decision. Gastelum (15-4), meanwhile, was handed a UD defeat by Israel Adesanya at UFC 236 last month.
