James Te Huna Says He’s Fighting Brandon Vera Next

Brandon "The Truth" Vera

By FCF Staff

According to James Te Huna, the Australian light-heavyweight will face Brandon “The Truth” Vera next. The fighter, who made the announcement via his official Twitter account, says the bout will take place at the upcoming UFC on FUEL TV 4 card.

Although the promotion has yet to announce any details about the event, including the aforementioned fight, it’s expected to take place on July 14th.

Te Huna (14-5) is coming off back-to-back wins over Ricardo Romero and most recently Aaron Rosa, who he stopped at the UFC on FX 2 card last month.

Prior to the wins Te Huna was submitted by Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 137 last February.

Vera (12-5) worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Eliot Marshall in his last outing at UFC 137 in November.

Vera had dropped a unanimous decision to Thiago Silva last January, but the decision was eventually overturned and declared a no contest, after Silva failed his post fight drug test.

The veteran is 2-2 with one no contest in his last five bouts.
