Xtreme Fighting Championship’s upcoming February 10th card will feature a lightweight bout between two established vets, as the promotion has announced that former WEC champion Jamie Varner will fight UFC vet Drew Fickett in the main event.

XFC 16 will be hosted the Knoxville Civic Coliseum in Tennessee and will be broadcast live on HDNet.

Varner (18-6-1) is coming off a knockout win over Nate Jolly at XFC 14 in October, after losing by unanimous decision to Dakota Cochrane while competing for Titan Fighting Championships in September.

The 27 year-old lightweight is 2-3 in his last five fights.

Fickett (41-16) will be looking to end a three fight losing streak, which includes losses to Brian Cobb, Tatsuya Kawajiri and most recently, Rony Torres.

The defeats came after the 32 year-old Fickett had won five straight bouts during a stretch from April, 2010 through February, 2011.

Some of the other bouts scheduled for XFC 16 include Corey Hill vs. Nicolae Curry, Heather Clark vs. Marianna Kheyfets and Mikey Gomez vs. Josh Samman.
