After having a March 7th bout with Robert Whittaker fall through, Jared Cannonier has turned to social media in an effort to line-up a new opponent for UFC 248. More specifically, the powerful middleweight has called out Kelvin Gastelum and Darren Till.
Cannonier was originally booked to fight Whittaker at the Las Vegas event, but the former middleweight champ has withdrawn due to personal reasons. More recently, the surging Cannonier shared out the comments below:
According to a follow-up report from MMA Junkie, Till did respond to Cannonier’s post and said “just give the UFC some time to sort this out.”
Cannonier (13-4) is riding a three-fight winning streak, which includes wins over David Branch, Anderson Silva and Jack Hermannson. Till (18-2-1), meanwhile, is coming off a decision win over Gastelum in November.
