Welterweight Jason High will replace unable John Hathaway to fight Erick Silva in their UFC on Fuel TV 10 main card bout.

High (16-3) is returning after dropping his only UFC fight to Charlie Brenneman in 2010. Since then he has gone 7-0 in outside organizations and earned his second chance in the UFC. High was originally slated to fight Ildemar Alcantara in a preliminary fight on the same card.

Alcantara (18-5), who defeated Wagner Prado in his UFC debut to extend his win streak to eight, will instead face Leandro Silva.

High announced the change on Thursday via twitter.

“New opponent, same date, main card. Erick Silva peep game,” read High’s post in part.

He will now face Erick Silva (14-3) who is 2-2 in the UFC, with losses coming at the hands of Jon Fitch and Carlo Prater. Silva was originally scheduled to fight Jay Hieron at UFC 156, but an injury forced him to step out.

Hathaway (17-1) is 7-1 in the UFC, with his only loss coming from a unanimous decision defeat to Mike Pyle. Recently Hathaway spoke out on Twitter proclaiming that his ulcerative colitis is the reason for pulling out of the fight and stating that he does not know when he will return to the octagon.

UFC on FUEL TV 10, scheduled for June 8 at Ginasio Paulo Sarasate in Fortaleza, Brazil, will host The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 2 finale. The card is scheduled to be headlined by a heavyweight bout between coaches Febricio Werdum and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
