After incurring a quick defeat at UFC Vegas 31, Jeremy Stephens is calling for a showdown with Conor McGregor.

Ever since McGregor claimed he didn’t know who Stephens was in 2015, with his “who the fook is that guy” zinger, the latter has periodically fielded questions about the star. More recently, following Stephens’ submission loss to Mateuz Gamrot, ‘Lil’ Heathen’ is calling for a fight with McGregor.

Just thinking… the true fight to make is me and Connor. He broke his ankle, someone dove for my ankle. We both like to fight and keep it standing. Both power both different. Plus I like to calve kick and have wide range of KO’s

McGregor (22-6) is expected to be out until 2022, after snapping his leg in his rubber match with Dustin Poirier earlier this month. McGregor has lost three of his last four bouts and has just one win since 2016.

Stephens (28-19) is winless in six straight fights and has lost five of those bouts. The veteran’s last win was in 2018, when he brutally KO’d Josh Emmett.
