Johnny Walker has argued that he’s ready to challenge Jon Jones, and clearly Jimi Manuwa agrees with the rising light-heavyweight.

Although Walker only has three UFC bouts on his record, and hasn’t fought any top ten ranked opponents, there’s plenty of hype about how he’d do against the champion Jones. The 6’5 tall Walker has needed less than three minutes total to stop Khalil Rountree, Justin Ledet and Misha Cirkunov in the Octagon.

Recently Manuwa spoke with BJ Penn.com, and while discussing Walker, the retired fighter said this:

“I think Johnny Walker will give Jon Jones his best fight,” Manuwa said. “Jon uses his reach very well against most people. Most of the division is shorter than him, and he has trouble with people that are the same length as him [and] explosive people.”

“If Johnny Walker can not get taken down, then I think he beats Jon Jones. He’s the person who causes the most trouble.”

Walker (17-3) is booked to fight fellow contender Corey Anderson at UFC 244, November 2nd. The event will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
