Jon Jones has received extensive praise for his decision win over Glover Teixeira at UFC 172, but some of his post-fight comments and social media posts have drawn considerable criticism. Now, Teixeira’s longtime coach, the renowned John Hackleman, has weighed in on the situation.

Following Jones’ win over Teixeira last weekend, the light-heavyweight champ posted a picture of a disappointed looking Chuck Liddell, who is Teixeira’s teammate. Heading into the bout, Liddell relayed publicly that he believes he could have defeated Jones when he was in his prime.

Jones has also taunted Phil Davis, who promised to “break” the champion heading into UFC 172, but was soundly defeated by Anthony Johnson.

In addition, Jones posted a video mocking fans and observers who have criticized him for poking Teixeira in the eye during the April 26th bout. Jones took the video down not long after, but it has been reposted by other outlets since.

Well, in a follow up interview with Fight Hub TV, here is what Hackleman had to say when informed of Jones’ posting the Liddell pic:

“I hope that Jon’s not posting pictures or doing anything like that. I feel that is disrespectful if he is and not very humble and Christian of him and how he wants us to perceive him. I don’t know, maybe it is his manager or someone in his circle trying to stir the pot or something but that is a douche move. If he (Jon Jones) did do it or does know about it, I would take them down and have some more respect and I hope it is not him, I have a lot of respect for him. If he knows about it, don’t be a douchebag and do that – take the pictures down, show a little more respect and treat this like a martial art.”

Jones, who has defended the light-heavyweight title 7 times now, is expected to face Alexander Gustafsson later this year.
