After incurring his first UFC defeat against Jake Matthews in March, Johnny Case says you’re going to see a more aggressive and dangerous fighter when he returns.

Case was submitted by Matthews at UFC Fight Night 85, which came after he had won his first four, UFC bouts, and 12 straight fights. The 26 year-old, who is currently sidelined with a foot injury, recently told UFC.com the following:

“Losses always suck, but they’re always positive because they give you the insight that maybe you weren’t seeing,” Case said. “When you win five years in a row, you tend to believe that what you’re doing is good enough. You’re winning fights, so what’s the problem? The loss made me realize that maybe my standards weren’t as high as I needed them to be. I’m aiming to be world champion…

“You’re going to see me finishing fights from now on,” he said. “You’ll not see me just going out there to win fights. You’re going to see me going out there to finish. I’m going to prove that I’m a force in this 155-pound division and I’m not stopping until I’m at the top.”

Prior to facing Matthews, Case worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Yan Cabral.
