Jon Jones Claims He’s Vacating UFC’s LHW Title, Following Exchanges With Dana White
By FCF Staff
As tensions continue to escalate between Jon Jones and UFC President Dana White, the star says he’s vacating the promotion’s light-heavyweight title.
Since negotiations to make Jones versus Francis Ngannou failed, “Bones” and White have accused each other of lying about the champion’s demands. Jones claims the UFC wasn’t willing to pay more for the super fight at all, while White says the champ asked for an “absurd amount” of money.
More recently Jones claimed he’s vacating the light-heavyweight belt and that Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz can compete for the title.
#ESPN Reyes vs Jan For the UFC light heavyweight championship of the world. As of right now, I got nothing to really gain fighting either of them. Let me know if you guys want to set up a day in 2021 for that Izzy fight. Hopefully you guys will be willing to pay by then.
“To the light heavyweight title Veni, vidi, vici”

The 32-year-old Jones (26-1, 1 NC) is coming off a tightly contested, decision win over Reyes in February.
