Following a several Twitter exchanges between Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones, about the possibility of a super fight, the latter’s claiming the UFC’s offer for the bout is too low. In addition, Jones has hinted that he could be taking a hiatus from fighting, as a result.

Recently Jones relayed that he’s interested in fighting the heavyweight contender next, and the two have verbally sparred since. But, on Thursday, Jones tweeted out the following comments.

“Before even discussing numbers, the UFC was unwilling to pay more for the Francis super fight for me to move to heavyweight. Said I could possibly earn more in pay-per-view buys.”

“It’s been fun you guys, maybe I’ll see you all in a year or two.”

“Maybe when they’re ready to do better business I’ll come back, until then health fitness and family.”

“I should’ve worded that differently, I actually think these guys do great business. Right now things just aren’t where I want them to be.”

After those tweets, however, Jones also tweeted out this.

“Red panty night for the light heavyweight division”

This could indicate that Jones is still interested in defending the light-heavyweight title moving forward, after all.
