After being ticketed for several traffic violations recently, Jon Jones has reportedly been arrested for violating his probation.

News of Jones arrest is being reported by TMZ and other outlets. On Monday, a video surfaced showing Jones arguing with an Albuquerque police officer, who accused the former UFC champ of drag racing. Jones was also cited for exhibition driving, weaving, failing to properly display his license plate, and modifying his exhaust pipe.

Since the fighter’s arrest, his representatives have told TMZ that:

“Jon and his team are taking this very seriously and we will let the legal process play out.”

“We are confident he will be released once he has an opportunity to explain to the judge the facts in this case.” Jones has publicly denied that he was drag racing.

Jones is currently on probation as a result of a hit-and-run incident last year. The 28 year-old is scheduled to fight Daniel Cormier at UFC 197 on April 23rd.
