Jon Jones Tells UFC He’ll Need “Some Bread” For Francis Ngannou Fight
By FCF Staff
Following Francis Ngannou’s electric win at UFC 260, it wasn’t long before Jon Jones was calling for the fight, provided, the promotion tables the right offer.
Ever since Jones vacated the light heavyweight title to make a run at heavyweight, the expectation has been ‘Bones’ would fight for the title in his next outing. After Ngannou ended Miocic’s reign on Saturday with a KO win, Jones tweeted out the following comments.
Show me the money
If anyone is wondering if I really want to fight, the answer is yes. I also really want to get paid.
I quit the light heavyweight division, literally gained a massive amount of weight. And now people are saying I’m afraid? Everyone but me claiming that I’m afraid. All I asked was to get paid.
why does a fighter have to be afraid the second he mentions he wants to get paid his worth. What an insult.
It’s OK, Derek can have the fight. No need to rush a great thing. I’ve already had a Hall of Fame career, I’m going to need some bread

The 33-year-old Jones (26-1) hasn’t fought since February, 2020, when he recorded a razor thin, split decision win over Dominick Reyes.
Jones campaigned for a fight with Ngannou last year. But, the renowned fighter was unable to come to financial terms with the UFC for the bout.
