After several postponements, Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira finally have a date and location for their upcoming title fight, as the UFC has announced the two will battle April 26th in Baltimore, Maryland. The UFC 172 card, which will mark the promotion’s first trip to the city, will be hosted by the Baltimore Arena.

Jones (19-1) will be competing for the first time since September, when he scored a unanimous decision win over Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165. Prior to that the reigning champion quickly took out Chael Sonnen at UFC 159 in April.

Teixeira (22-2) has worked his way into a title shot after winning all five of his UFC bouts to date. In his last outing the well rounded fighter stopped Ryan Bader at UFC Fight Night 28 in September.

Initially, Jones and Teixeira were expected to fight earlier in 2014, but Jones needed more time to recover from a nagging foot injury.

No other bouts have been confirmed yet for the April 26th event.
