Jorge Masvidal has repeatedly said he wants to fight Conor McGregor and has warned he’ll hurt the star if they battle. But, at the same time, Masvidal credits the controversial star for accomplishing what he has.

Masvidal recently appeared on the “Pardon my Take” podcast, and when asked about the possibility of fighting McGregor, he said this (quote via MMA Junkie):

“I want to rearrange his face,” Masvidal said. “I wouldn’t mind collecting a nice check and whooping his ass, because that’s a bad motherf*cker. You know? Take nothing from the man. He’s got two belts at 145 pounds and 155 pounds – not easy weights to win at. Both times that he won the belt, it was unquestioned. It was no opposition. It was no fighting really. It was just he went in there, did what he wanted, and came home with the belt. So I would definitely like to fight him.”

The former champ McGregor is booked to fight Donald Cerrone on January 18th. Masvidal is coming off a TKO win (due to doctor stoppage) over Nate Diaz last month. Since then it’s been reported that Nick Diaz is interested in fighting Masvidal next.
