Junior Dos Santos Says Alistair Overeem Isn’t Biggest Heavyweight Challenge

By Michael Hatamoto

UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos is preparing for a rematch against Cain Velasquez, but has responded (again) to comments made by Alistair Overeem.

Despite Overeem’s continued trash talk and criticism, Dos Santos believes Velasquez is the toughest opponent he can fight.

Dos Santos vs. Velasquez II is set for UFC 155 on Dec. 29 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Also, Dos Santos also says he’s not sure when he’s going to enter his prime, as he’s still learning every time he steps into the gym. The Brazilian fighter says his toughest opponent in the cage was Roy Nelson – Nelson withstood a lot of damage en route to a unanimous decision win at UFC 117.

In an unrelated note, I think it’s great to see Dos Santos – and other Brazilian fighters – working on their English, which opens the doors to significantly more media opportunities.
