Kamaru Usman Big Favorite in Early Betting Lines For Jorge Masvidal Rematch
By FCF Staff
It remains to be seen if the UFC ends up booking a rematch between Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal. But, following Usman’s call for the fight, the welterweight champ is a sizeable favorite in early betting lines.
Following Usman’s third-round stoppage of Gilbert Burns at UFC 258 last weekend, he relayed he wants to fight Masvidal again. A key reason being that after Masvidal lost to Usman last summer via decision, he cited the fact he fought the champion on just days notice.
In betting lines that have popped up since Usman made the comments, he is the favorite to win the rematch with 3:1 odds.
Masvidal has yet to compete since Usman defeated at UFC 251. In recent weeks, UFC President Dana White has said the promotion was hoping to book a fight between Masvidal and his former friend, Colby Covington.
