Kayla Harrison Responds to Dana White Questioning if She’s “Ready” For The UFC
By FCF Staff
UFC President Dana White says he’s not sure if Kayla Harrison can hang with the UFC competition. But, it sounds like the decorated judoka and PFL lightweight champ is more than confident that she could score big wins in the Octagon.
Recently White spoke with TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, and when asked about Harrison and the possibility of her fighting in the UFC, he said this (quotes via MMA Junkie).
“I don’t know if she’s ready,” White said. “I mean, when she feels like she’s ready, I’m always looking for the best possible people to come in and fight. If you don’t think that we’ve offered her to come over – I just don’t know if her people think she’s ready yet. It’s a whole other level when you get here.”
In a follow-up interview with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, Harrison had this to say, when asked to comment.
“I think that if Dana is ready to pay me a lot of money, I’ll make him a lot of money,” Harrison said. “I have stated many times, I’m ready to face the best in the world.”

Harrison has gone 9-0 since transitioning into MMA. Most recently, the undefeated fighter quickly stopped Mariana Morais at the PFL’s May 6 card.
