2023 is set to mark the MMA return of Kendall Grove, as KSW has announced that the TUF 3 winner will compete at the promotion’s January 21st event.

The 40-year-old Grove (24-18), who has not competed in a MMA bout since 2019, will battle Michal Materla (31-9) at KSW 78. The two fought before in 2013, at KSW 23, and Materla won the bout via unanimous decision.

Grove proceeded to sign with Bellator not long after that fight, where the Hawaiian fighter went 4-5.

Poland’s Materla, meanwhile,  is coming off a KO loss to Mariusz Pudzianowski in May, 2022.

KSW 78 will be hosted by the Netto Arena in Szczecin, Poland. The event will be available in North America via pay-per-view.
