Following Dan Henderson’s defeat to Vitor Belfort at UFC Fight Night 77,  some fans and observers have argued the legend should consider retiring, including Kenny Florian.

Henderson was stopped by Belfort in the opening round last weekend. Although “Hendo” and others believe it was a quick stoppage, it marked the third time in five fights that the former PRIDE champ has been finished.

After the bout, the 45 year-old fighter didn’t say what his plans are in terms of competing.

In the latest edition of “UFC Tonight“, here is some of what Florian had to say about the middleweight’s future (quote via FOX Sports 1 press release):

“I don’t think there’s any shame in losing to a guy like Vitor Belfort. Dan Henderson has to start thinking about retiring at this point. He’s taken a lot of damage in the last several fights. He’s been fighting tough guys. I’d like to see him transition and maybe take a job with the UFC.”

Heading into UFC FN 77, Henderson was coming off a quick, KO win over Tim Boetsch this past June.
