Khabib Nurmagomedov Hints at September Title Defense

It’s not clear when the UFC will resume holding cards. But, recently Khabib Nurmagomedov hinted that his next bout could take place this September.
Nurmagomedov was scheduled to defend the lightweight title against Tony Ferguson at UFC 249, April 18th. But, due to a coronavirus travel ban in Russia, Nurmagomedov was forced to withdraw, before the entire event was canceled.
More recently the UFC lightweight champ, who will begin observing Ramadan soon, posted the comment below (translation via Instagram).
But September is not so far away, although it’s hard to believe that everything will end by September, but still one serious person said that in peacetime it is necessary to prepare for war

Nurmagomedov (28-0) is coming off a submission win over Dustin Poirier at UFC 242 in September.
