“King Mo” Tests Positive For Steroid Following Strikeforce Victory Over Lorenz Larkin

By FCF Staff

Former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion “King Mo” Lawal tested positive for Drostanolone, an anabolic steroid often used as a diuretic, following his KO of Lorenz Larkin at Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Jan. 7.  Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer confirmed the drug test result.

Lawal, who stopped Larkin in the second round of their matchup with a ground and pound offensive, faces a one-year suspension, a fine and an overturn of his win to a no-contest.  He has the right to appeal the drug test result.
