Another UFC star has been hit by an injury, as the promotion’s president Dana White announced Wednesday that Forrest Griffin will no longer compete at UFC 155 due to a knee injury. The former TUF winner had been scheduled to fight Phil Davis on the December 29th card.

White announced via his Twitter account:

Forrest Has MCL tear and ACL strain. 20 cc’s of blood removed from his knee and the saga continues at the UFC!!

No information as to a possible replacement for Griffin, or a timeline for the light-heavyweight’s return were included.

The 33 year-old Griffin hasn’t competed since July when he worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Tito Ortiz.

UFC 155 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will feature a heavyweight bout between champion Junior dos Santos and former champ Cain Velasquez.
