Kurt Holobaugh Moving to UFC Despite Loss to Pat Healy
By FCF Staff
Kurt Holobaugh will make his Octagon debut in 2013, despite the fact that he lost by unanimous decision to Pat Healy at Strikeforce’s final event this past Saturday. The defeat not only came against one of the promotion’s top lightweights in Healy, but it was also the first of Holobaugh’s career.
Although it’s not known yet when Holobaugh (8-1) will make his UFC debut, the fighter confirmed he is headed to the promotion via his Twitter account.
The Gracie Barra Northshore fighter turned professional in 2011 and proceeded to win eight straight fights, while competing for organizations like Fight Force International and Xtreme Fighting Championship.
The victory for Healy (29-16) meanwhile, was the Team Quest fighter’s sixth in a row.
