HOUSTON — (November 23, 2015) — Legacy Fighting Championship has revealed the fight card for Legacy FC 50, which will take place on Jan. 22, 2016, at Arena Theater in Houston, TX. The headliner will determine who takes home the vacant women’s bantamweight title, vacated by current UFC women’s bantamweight champion and media sensation, Holly Holm. Kelly Faszholz [3-0] will battle Valentina Shevchenko [9-1].

Faszholz, a submission specialist who last fought and won via guillotine choke in July 2015, will be fighting out of California while Shevchenko, a Muay Thai specialist out of Lima, Peru, is coming off a unanimous decision win against Jan Finney at LFC 39 in February 2015.

In the co-main event, two Texas-based juggernauts will go head-to-head in the co-main event at 170 between Artenas “Machine Gun” Young [10-9] and Evangelista [Cyborg] Santos [19-16], who is returning from retirement after his announcement to leave the sport in April 2014.

Also featured on the card is Jonathan “Hulk” Harris [10-5], fresh off a unanimous decision win over Rey Trujillo at LFC 44, will face Justin “Wolverine” Reiswerg [9-5] in the lightweight division. Reiswerg has suffered two tough consecutive losses under the Legacy banner and will surely be coming in to this fight with guns blazing. Additionally, hometown favorite, Alex “Bet on” Black [8-4], will face a fellow 145er that will be determined at a later date.

Rounding out the televised card is undefeated Team Cyborg member Daniel Gustavo Santos [5-0] versus FFC and LFC alum Adrian Yanez [3-1] at 135 and David Acosta [2-0] versus Roberto Sanchez [3-0] at 125.

Mick Maynard, President of Legacy FC, shared his thoughts on the thrilling lineup.

Legacy FC 50 will air live on AXSTV on Jan. 22, 2016, at 9 p.m., CST.
