Legacy Fighting Championship has added BJJ world champion and undefeated lightweight Gilbert Burns to its roster. The 27 year-old lightweight, who has gone 6-0 since transitioning into MMA, was Vitor Belfort’s grappling coach on TUF Brazil.

Legacy FC confirmed Burns signing via Twitter, and in a report from MMA Fighting, it was announced he’ll make his promotional debut versus Mike Budnik (13-4) March 21st .

Burns won gold in the 2011 BJJ World Championships, while competing at 76 kilograms, and the Brazilian repeated that result in 2013.

Most recently, “Durinho” knocked out Paulo Goncalves Silva while fighting for Coliseu Extreme Fight in December. Burns has won all six of his pro bouts via first round stoppage or submission.
