Leon Edwards Releases Statement, After Withdrawal From UFC Vegas 17

After being forced out of a scheduled bout with Khamzat Chimaev, due to contracting COVID-19, Leon Edwards has released a statement.
Edwards was scheduled to battle the undefeated fighter at the December 19th, UFC Vegas 17 card. But, recently it was reported that ‘Rocky’ has contracted the coronavirus, and will no longer compete. It was also reported that Edwards had experienced serious symptoms from the virus.
More recently, the welterweight contender shared out this statement.
Another setback, but when you come from the mud you learn to put everything in perspective. This virus has affected many lives and families much worse than mine. Looking forward to getting this rebooked soon, thank you all for the well wishes
