LFA 71: Jason Jackson Takes Welterweight Title

Legacy Fighting Alliance held its 71st card Friday in  Atlanta, Georgia, and in the main event, Jason Jackson laid claim to the vacant welterweight title.

Jackson took on last-minute replacement Hemerson Souza and won the title via split decision.

Here are the main card results for LFA 71.

Main Event – Welterweight Title Fight – Jason Jackson (10-3) defeated Hemerson Souza (7-4) via split decision (48-47, 46-49, 48-47).
Co-Main Event – Welterweight Fight – Hugh Pulley (8-4) defeated Demarques Jackson (10-4) via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28).
Bantamweight Fight – Ary Farias (8-2) defeated Devante Sewell (7-4) with a rear-naked choke to win by technical submission 4:58 in round one.
Middleweight Fight – Gregory Rodrigues (6-2) defeated Tanner Saraceno (7-4) via unanimous decision (30-25. 30-25. 30-27).
Welterweight Fight – Tyler Ray (5-1) defeated Pedro Paulino (7-1) via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26).
160 pound Catchweight Fight – Robert Hale (7-4) defeated Zach Fears (10-5) via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).
160 pound Catchweight Fight – Chris Brown (4-1) knocked out Yumi Oduwole (5-2) at 1:38 in round two.
