By FCF Staff

Bellator kicked off its Season Five welterweight tournament last night in Atlantic City, and Chris Lozano, Ben Saunders, Luis Santos and Douglas Lima advanced to the tourney semifinals with victories. (Pictured: Lozano hitting Brent Weedman)

Afterwards the promotion announced that Lima will take on Lozano and Saunders will face Santos in the competition’s next stage.

“I didn’t get to watch the other fights because I was too busy getting in the zone,” Saunders was quoted saying after stopping Chris Cisneros in the second round. “But I’m looking forward to getting through the next round and on to the finals so I can bring back one of my best weapons.”

“That was a war,” said Lozano after earning a unanimous decision win over Brent Weedman. “I was ready for a war, and Brent brought it, so I have to thank him for the toughest fight of my life.”
