Luke Rockhold has made it clear he doesn’t agree with the UFC’s decision to book Michael Bisping versus Georges St-Pierre, and the former middleweight champ doubled down on that opinion during the latest “UFC Tonight“.

St-Pierre will face Bisping for the middleweight title on a date, yet to be determined, but Dana White has said he hopes to have the fight take place in early July. The bout will mark the first time St-Pierre has fought in over three years, and it will also be the first time he’s competed at 185 in the Octagon.

During Rockhold’s appearance on the aforementioned show, the middleweight had this to say about the fight (quote via FOX Sports 1 press release):

“It’s chaos. I think they’re running down a slippery slope. Things could get out of hand. Georges isn’t going to fight anybody at the top of the division if he wins and Bisping could be in the same boat. I’m bummed they took this route. It’s taking away from the sport. It’s about the top guys fighting each other. This isn’t WWE. This is fighting. When you see it, it makes you question a lot of things.”

“You tell me?” Rockhold said, when asked what it will take for him to secure another shot at the belt. “It doesn’t take much. It takes one good fight. I’ll see how it irons out. A lot of guys are waiting. It just depends on what their thoughts are. Yoel is waiting. If they want to put a real belt on the line, I’d gladly fight Yoel for it. I’m not here to dance around, I’m here to fight for titles.”

Rockhold was scheduled to fight “Jacare” Souza last November, but he was forced to withdraw due to a knee injury. Rockhold is still recovering from the injury.
