Last year, Luke Rockhold reported he was lacking motivation to keep fighting. But, now the UFC’s former middleweight champ has hinted that he could be returning to the Octagon.

After Rockhold was knocked out by Jan Blachowicz in July, the star admitted he didn’t have the “same passion” to fight anymore. The 35-year-old stopped short of saying he was retired, but it wasn’t clear if Rockhold would fight again.

Recently, however, Rockhold spoke with MMA UK News. While talking about his future in MMA, Rockhold said this (quotes via MMA Junkie).

“I just kept my mouth shut (because I didn’t want to retire prematurely),” Rockhold told MMA UK News. “People just do it to seek attention. I’m not trying to make some big statement, make attention about it when I’m not sure about it. Here we are now. I’m getting healthier, and I might be getting an itch. We’ll see.”

“A lot of interesting choices (for me),” Rockhold teased. “If Anderson (Silva) is still interested and seemingly he is. Maybe, you never know. (Chris) Weidman’s got a fight coming up. If something, he comes out of that well, you never know. There’s options.”

Rockhold, who is coming off shoulder surgery, currently carries a record of 16-5.
