Luke Rockhold Says Michael Bisping’s Run as 185 Champ is “The Worst in UFC History”

Luke Rockhold has been highly critical of Michael Bisping over the past couple of years, and as the latter’s bout with Georges St-Pierre nears, that isn’t changing.

Following Rockhold’s stoppage win over David Branch at UFC Fight Night 116, the former middleweight champ called on GSP to dropout of his November 4th bout with Bisping, so he can face his rival instead. Rockhold appeared on the latest “UFC Tonight” Wednesday, and here’s what he had to say about Bisping, and his reign as the 185 champ (quotes via FOX Sports 1 press release):

“It’s the worst in UFC history. No one has ever gotten that treatment and avoided every contender. He’s avoided Jacare, Yoel Romero and somehow he’s avoiding Robert Whittaker. He found No. 14 Henderson to fight at the time.”

“Mike doesn’t deserve anything. There’s nothing more to be said. Look at the champion. He hasn’t fought or defended the title against one real contender. GSP is irrelevant at 185. They’re selling bullsh-t.”

Rockhold’s win over Branch marked the first time he had fought, since he was knocked out by Bisping last June. Rockhold won their first encounter back in 2014, via submission.
