According to multiple reports, former Strikeforce middleweight champ Luke Rockhold will make his UFC debut against Vitor Belfort sometime this summer. Although the date and venue has not been determined, UFC President Dana White has relayed that the fight will take place in Brazil sometime in the coming months.

Belfort (22-10) has been calling for a rematch with light-heavyweight champ Jon Jones, since the veteran stopped Michael Bisping at UFC on FX 7 in January. Jones submitted Belfort with a fourth round, keylock at UFC 152 in September.

Rockhold (10-1) hasn’t fought since last July when he worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Tim Kennedy. The middleweight, who has won nine straight fights, has been sidelined with a wrist injury.

The Brazilian publication Tatame was the first to report the Belfort-Rockhold tilt, however, White has since confirmed the match-up while preparing for this weekend’s UFC on FUEL event in England.
