Lyoto Machida and “Shogun” Rua Lead UFC on FOX 4 Payroll

The California State Athletic Commission has released the payroll for the August 4th, UFC on FOX card in Los Angeles, and not surprisingly, former light-heavyweight champions Lyoto Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua led the way.
According to the CSAC figures, Machida collected $200,000 for his title shot clinching, knockout of Ryan Bader, while Rua earned $240,000 for his fourth round stoppage of Brandon Vera.
Machida’s payout did not include any win bonus, while $70,000 of Rua’s was for winning the main event tilt.
Here are the salaries that were disclosed to the CSAC from the UFC. They do not include any additional bonuses a fighter may have collected, like “Knockout of the Night” for example, or sponsorship money.
