The Maximum Fighting Championship has rounded out the main card for the promotion’s upcoming October 26th event in Edmonton, Alberta, which will feature Joseph “Leonidas” Henle versus Elvis Mutapcic. The main event bout will determine the promotion’s middleweight champion.

“Our best success has come when we focus on matchmaking exciting fights and keep in mind how future scenarios might play out,” MFC CEO Mark Pavelich was quoted saying in a press release from the promotion. “So we put fighters together who will compete with passion and give everything they have. This is mixed martial arts and this is a sport but let’s forget that first and foremost this is entertainment. I want our fans entertained, and we’re going to showcase the fighters that are entertaining and exciting.”

Henle (8-0-1) is coming off a first round stoppage of contender Luke Harris at MFC 34 in August to record his fifth straight win.

Mutapcic (11-2) also recorded a TKO win at MFC 34 when he defeated Jacen Flynn. The victory was Iowa fighter’s third in a row.

MFC 35 will also feature the dawn of the promotion’s featherweight division as prospect Graham Spencer (8-1) will take on UFC vet Shane Nelson (15-6).

Rounding out the main card will be a heavyweight tilt between Ryan Fortin (6-3) and Smealinho Rama (4-0), a middleweight bout between Derek Parker (4-1-1) and Jared McComb (4-1-1) and a welterweight clash between Sabah Fadai (7-2) and Cody Krahn (11-5).

A light-heavyweight fight between Jason Kuchera (5-5) and Paul Grandbois (4-4) has also been confirmed.

MFC 35 will be hosted by Edmonton’s Mayfield Conference Centre and will be broadcast live on AXS TV.
