Following Tom Breese’s late withdrawal from UFC Fight Night 107 yesterday in London, England, the prospect’s manager has provided some details as to why he didn’t compete.

The 25 year-old fighter was scheduled to face  Oluwale Bamgbose in a middleweight contest. But, when the UFC Fight Pass broadcast began, it was announced Breese had been deemed unfit to fight.

Since then, the British fighter’s manager, Graham Boylan, has informed MMA Junkie that “Tom’s heart rate was very high and the pre-event build up raised it to levels which left him questioning if he was ready to compete tonight”.

Boylan did not offer any other details regarding Breese’s condition, or whether it’s known if the issue is an isolated incident. The manager also relayed that he plans to meet with Breese this week.
